Our Ministry’s History

Unleash the Fire Ministries was birthed out of Jeremiah 20:9 and Acts 2:2-3 through the travail, intercession, submission and obedience of Eld. Apryl Young.  Because of her passion to see God’s people aroused, awakened and activated in the gifts of the Spirit, the Lord anointed and appointed Eld. Young and birthed in her a desire to see the Body of Christ ignited in intimate intercession.  He then began to prepare a vessel that He could pour out to release healing and deliverance to the downtrodden and broken hearted.

In 2010, the Lord asked Eld. Young if she was willing to submit her will to HIS will and become the catalyst He could use to break chains of bondage and liberate lives so that all could “be made whole.”  For the next three years, she labored with the vision with which she had been impregnated by the Holy Spirit.  On April 6, 2013, she stepped out in humble, Holy obedience and birthed Unleash the Fire Ministries in Chicago, IL.  The theme was “Armed and Ready for Battle.”

Over the years, God has continued to use this anointed vessel as a Prophetic voice of intercession and deliverance as she inspires individuals to develop an intimate relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ.  The fuel that feeds her fire is rooted in 1 Cor. 9:22, 23 as she endeavors to “…become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.  This I do for the gospel’s sake…” Eld. Young is inspired to consistently intercede on behalf of others, as the Father continues to elevate her to transcend to deeper depths and higher heights.  She is charged, committed and constrained to walk the journey with those in the Body of Christ through the process of freedom and greater intimacy with the Godhead.

Unleash the Fire Ministries is headquartered in Hammond, Indiana.  This ministry is not subject to the control of any ecclesiastical body, but is in covenant partnership with Labourers for Christ Ministries – Apostolic Ecumenical Network, under the ecclesiastical and Apostolic covering of Apostle Dr. Shawnette A. Houghton.
